Holly Hawkins joined NCMEC in 2013. She is responsible for community outreach and prevention education programs as well as NCMEC’s branch offices in Florida, New York and Texas.

Ms. Hawkins has more than 15 years of experience in online safety and best practices in youth protection. As AOL’s director of global consumer policy and child safety, Ms. Hawkins worked closely with both domestic and international child protection and Internet safety organizations.

Ms. Hawkins served on the board of the Family Online Safety Institute and was an advisor to Enough is Enough, a non-profit organization focusing on making the Internet safer for children and families. She was also a member of the European Commission’s Social Networking Principles Task Force and the UK Council for Children and Internet Safety (UKCCIS).

Ms. Hawkins was the co-creator and frequent contributor to, a safety blog designed to support and inform parents as they teach their kids to navigate the Internet.

Ms. Hawkins is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals as a Certified Privacy Professional.
