NETSMARTZ KIDS NOMINATED FOR BEST PRACTICES
WEB SITE FOR THE NINTH ANNUAL WEBBY AWARDS

ALEXANDRIA, VA - April 14, 2005 - NetSmartz Kids (www.NetSmartzKids.org) has been nominated for a Webby Award in the “Best Practices” category. This category honors the most current, innovative, and advanced practices in web development. NetSmartzKids.org is a safe site where children can complete activities that teach the dangers to watch out for online and how to avoid them, play fun games, and listen to music to reinforce important Internet safety concepts.

NetSmartz Kids’ nomination in this category also puts them in the running for the People’s Voice Award; which is determined by public vote. The winners of the awards will be announced on May 3.

The Webby Awards, established in 1996, are the leading international awards honoring excellence in web design, functionality, and creativity. The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences presents the Webbys. The criteria the Academy uses to evaluate web sites is based on content, structure and navigation, visual design, functionality, interactivity, and overall experience.
