Security industry professionals and law enforcement personnel participated in pilots to provide critical feedback on the training.


Missing & Exploited Children: What Security Professionals Need to Know is an online training course for the private security industry. Through this course, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children now has the ability to dramatically increase the reach of law enforcement and the numbers of eyes and ears across the nation protecting children.

The training provides critical information for security professionals to help them recognize, observe, and properly report incidents or circumstances of missing, abducted and/or sexually exploited children.

The course development process for Missing & Exploited Children: What Security Professionals Need to Know was extensive. The content review team was made up of security company executives, law enforcement personnel and subject matter experts within NCMEC.

In addition, more than 200 security industry professionals and law enforcement personnel participated in pilots hosted by Covenant Aviation Security and G4S, providing critical feedback to help fine-tune the end product.
